Merovingian armor

Since I am considering starting to fight heavy, I though I’d post about armor. Like much of Merovingian material culture, it can be difficult to pin down. Here are some websites with information.

    Have you seen the Frankish helmet at the Archaeologie in krefeld? There are some other good Frankish artifacts.

    Thanks so much for the info! I recently started fighting heavy and am very interested in the early Merovingians. So now I want to put together proper armour for that period! Just got very excited to see your blog. Please let me know if you’d be interested in future contact/comparing notes/etc.
